PELAKITA.ID – In January 2024, I was invited and discussed with the NTZ team members in Muscat, Oman.
During the visit we shared lessons from the coastal and marine develeopment program issues including climate change and seaweed cultivation initiative.
What is NTZ? NTZ Solutions is a leading company based in the heart of the Sultanate of Oman.
This organization established and dedicated to creating innovative solutions in the realms of carbon capture, waste management, and human capital development.

Based on my discussion with the CEO of NTZ Solutions, Sharifa Aidid, I underlined some expertise lies on their establishemnt.
First, Carbon Capture. NTZ Solutions leverages advanced technologies to capture and mitigate carbon emissions, contributing to the global effort to combat climate change.
Second, Waste Management. NTZ Solutions pioneers sustainable waste management practices, promoting a circular economy and minimizing environmental impact.
Third, Human Capital Development: Recognizing the importance of people in sustainable progress. They invest in human capital development programs to empower individuals and communities.
“We believe in the power of businesses to be a force for positive change. Our initiatives not only aim to minimize environmental impact but also contribute to the social and economic well-being of the communities we serve,” Sharifa empahsized the mission.
Sharifa is a passionate advocate for Sustainable Employment and Environmental Stewardship With a proven track record of creating job opportunities for tens of thousands of Omanis through innovative employment solutions.
She has dedicated many years to exceeding set employment targets by focusing on the development of human capital
She declares, for the targeting Net Zero, at NTZ Solutions, their overarching goal is to contribute to the global target of net-zero emissions.
“We are dedicated to creating a platform for a sustainable environment in Oman, fostering collaboration, and inspiring others to join us on the journey towards a greener future,” She said.
One of the project is being collaborated with the Oman Environmental Services Holding Company in order to revolutionise Oman’s approach to waste recycling and resource optimisation.
In that cooperation, NTZ Solutions responsible to facilitate the recycling of green and bulky waste materials into biochar.
This novel technology is considered will revolutionize waste management practices and significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
NTZ Solutions is set to establish the first biochar production facility in Oman, paving the way for sustainable waste management practices in the Sultanate and across the GCC region.
Not only Biochar, now they are initiating an approach to seaweed cultivation as solution for the carbon capture along the coastal and the sea of Oman.
