PELAKITA.ID – Makassar, February 8, 2026 — Hasanuddin University (Unhas) successfully held the Unhas Open Day (UOD) 2026 on February 7–8, 2026, at the JK Arenatorium Sports Hall, Hasanuddin University.
The two-day event was designed as an open platform for prospective students and the general public to gain first-hand insight into academic life at Unhas, including campus facilities, study programs, and available scholarship opportunities.
As part of the event, the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) of Hasanuddin University played an active role by organizing an informative and interactive booth that became one of the main attractions of UOD 2026.
The FKM booth offered a variety of engaging activities aimed at providing both educational value and entertainment, particularly for prospective students.
One of the key services available was free anthropometric measurements, including height, weight, and Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments.
To strengthen FKM Unhas’ participation in Unhas Open Day 2026, the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Prof. Sukri Palutturi, SKM, M.Kes., M.Sc.PH., Ph.D., along with the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Wahiduddin, SKM, M.Kes., personally visited the booth and interacted with visitors.
They were joined by Dr. Hasnawati Amqam, SKM, M.Sc., Head of the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program, and Dr. Abdul Salam, SKM, M.Kes., Head of the Undergraduate Nutrition Science Study Program, both of whom actively responded to questions from attendees.
“This service is intended to introduce the importance of understanding nutritional status and physical health as an integral part of public health science,” said Prof. Sukri Palutturi to Pelakita.ID on February 8, 2026.
In addition to anthropometric services, the FKM booth also featured interactive games that attracted strong enthusiasm from visitors, with attractive prizes prepared by the organizing committee.
Beyond the booth activities, the FKM UOD committee also conducted an informational presentation on the Faculty of Public Health, delivered by Dr. Ria Rezeki Sudarmin, SKM, M.Kes. and Irmayanti, S.Gz., M.P.H.
The session aimed to help prospective students better understand the strategic role of public health in national development, while also offering a realistic picture of academic life at Hasanuddin University.
The active participation of FKM Unhas in UOD 2026 reflects the faculty’s strong commitment to expanding access to information for young people aspiring to pursue higher education in the health sector.
Overall, Unhas Open Day 2026 created a space for two-way dialogue between participants and the Unhas academic community, delivering an experience that was both informative and inspiring for all visitors.
