PELAKITA.ID – The Health Program Governance Mentoring Team of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Hasanuddin (FKM Unhas), attended the Technical Briefing Workshop for the 2026 Health Program Governance Mentoring Activities, held from Tuesday to Saturday, February 24–28, 2026, at Grand Travello Hotel Bekasi, West Java.

This mentoring activity is a program initiated by the Planning and Budgeting Bureau of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia to strengthen the governance of regional health program planning in 58 loci of Provincial/District/City Health Offices across Indonesia.

The workshop marked an important preparatory stage before the mentoring teams are deployed to the regions.

FKM Unhas sent 30 team members, consisting of 5 advisors, 5 team leaders, 14 lecturers as team members, and 10 administrative staff.

According to the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Prof. Sukri Palutturi, SKM., M.Kes., MSc., PH., Ph.D., the collaboration between the Planning and Budgeting Bureau of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Hasanuddin, has been ongoing for approximately eight years.

“The team has assisted 42 districts/cities from 2019 to 2025, initially supporting only one locus in West Sulawesi Province—specifically at a hospital—and has since expanded to assist dozens of District/City Health Offices,” explained Prof. Sukri.

“This mentoring program certainly provides benefits for the Planning and Budgeting Bureau of the Ministry of Health, for the district/city loci, and of course for FKM Unhas as part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education,” he added.

In 2026, the FKM Unhas team is entrusted with mentoring 20 district/city/provincial loci spread across Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara, North Maluku, and Papua.

“This is the highest number of loci entrusted to partner universities of the Ministry of Health. In 2026, the mentoring will focus on drafting and harmonizing regional planning documents to ensure alignment with national health development policies and indicators,” Prof. Sukri explained.

On the first day of the agenda, the FKM Unhas team had the opportunity to lead a sharing session, presenting materials on the Revision of RPJMD/Regional Apparatus Strategic Plans for provinces/districts/cities that are not yet aligned, as well as the preparation of an Action Plan for achieving RIBK performance targets.

The presentation was delivered by the Team Leader, Dr. Irwandy, SKM., MSc.PH., M.Kes., who emphasized the importance of synchronizing regional planning documents with the indicators of the RPJMN and RIBK to ensure that health development targets are achieved in a measurable and sustainable manner.

The workshop also featured various speakers from ministries and strategic institutions, including the Legal Bureau of the Ministry of Health, the Planning and Budgeting Bureau of the Ministry of Health, the Directorate of Public Health and Nutrition of Bappenas, the National Development Planning Agency, and the Directorate of Regional Development Planning, Evaluation, and Information of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The presence of these speakers strengthened regulatory, planning, and central-regional synchronization perspectives in the preparation of health planning documents.

In the implementation of the 2025 mentoring program, FKM Unhas achieved recognition as the university with a 100 percent mentoring completion rate.

This achievement was marked by the successful preparation of Annual Work Plans (Renja) and Strategic Plans (Renstra) in accordance with guidelines, aligned with RPJMN and RIBK indicators, as well as the strong performance of the Regional Health Planning Team (Rankesda).

This accomplishment serves as an important foundation for FKM Unhas to once again provide optimal contributions in the 2026 mentoring program. Following this preparatory workshop, the FKM Unhas team will begin field assignments to assist in drafting Work Plans in each locus.

Each district/city/province will receive four mentoring sessions.

The expected output is the completion of Work Plan (Renja) documents in accordance with Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 86 of 2017, ensuring that regional planning documents are prepared systematically, accountably, and in alignment with national development directions.

Through this activity, FKM Unhas reaffirms its commitment to supporting the strengthening of regional health program governance, particularly in Eastern Indonesia, as a concrete contribution of higher education institutions to national health development.
